Story
The year is 2024. Earth is dying. The Amstradian Empire has taken over the Universe and Earth is one of the last rebel strongholds - but years of fighting have depleted Earth's energy. However, scientists have discovered a new energy form called Caloscin - which when mixed with water can be used as a substitute for oil. Vestron, an old iron-ore mining planet, is the only planet on which this substance can be found, in the form of crystals. Amstradians have not yet discovered the significance of the crystals - but nevertheless, keep them heavily guarded. The largest crystal is situated in a vault, west of the main mine workings. This single crystal could keep the Earth powered for centuries.
It is your task to find that crystal, equipped only with a space suit and jet thruster. To keep going, you must collect the energy globes scattered about the planet's surface, which will help you reach you destination faster.
